2003 Acura RSX
I started with the Honda CRX and after having my son, I found that they are not family friendly. I looked for rear seat upgrades but never got around, therefore, I made it a mission to get a sports car with rear seats, which landed me on a 2003 Acura RSX Type-S with 180K and runs great. At a glance, these have the CRX DNA. I got lucky to find a seller whom took care of his car and … lightly professionally modded his car to my liking. I picked up where I left off on my CRX but now, my son and puggle gets to ride with me. If you are a Honda fan and don't have time to wrench them rather than enjoy them, get a RSX Type-S. You will skip over all the engine swaps, modifications, that will cost you thousands, leave your garage full of spare parts, and many visits to the junk yard, with still wanting more genuine upgrades. I remember when the B16 was my dream engine, now K20 is way better and they are getting easier to get. What you will spend in modding most Honda's will no where get you near the satisfaction of a RSX. Sure, you will miss out on the retro looks and you can one day return to finding a gem to build with your son, but now a lighted modded RSX, will get your pride and glory into the car meet-ups to receive proper respect. Now, enter into the RSX world of modding, where Type-S is one of the best options for a turbo. This step is not necessary since the stock power, handling, and attributes are already satisfying, but doing so will only put you in the super car level. The rear seats are good for regular height adults and the cargo space is great. There are enough cup holders, an awesome sunroof, and great sound system. I plan to keep this car, as long as I can. If I have to sell it, I will return to another one.
