Test Driver Ratings & Comments

Acceleration commentsLaunching any four-wheel-drive vehicle is a challenge. I tried a lower rpm launch, without slipping the clutch and it bogged off the line. The next run I launched at about 4,000 rpms and it still bogged, but did run faster. The third and final attempt I launched at 5,000 with a slight bog off the line and the best time. I purposely tried not to slip the clutch on any launches due to the four-wheel-drive configuration, because it would not improve the launch and most likely just glaze the clutch. Acceleration, two words: fast and furious!
Braking commentsVery stable with no side to side movement, just straight and fast. I never felt the tires actually lock-up like I did with other vehicles tested on the same day. Excellent!
Handling commentsI was surprised at the tail-out control the car had, which was the fastest way around the circle. Probably had more in it if I wanted to really push the tires, but I was trying to keep tire wear to a minimum.
