Problems before 2000 miles

2022 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SR 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl CVT)
I purchased my 2022 Nissan Maxima SR in November 2022 and in mid December 2022, the rear panoramic sunroof lining had started to fall on both sides obstructing my view. Clearly a manufacturing defect since no one sits in my back seat and the sunroof was used a handful of times. Dealership stated this isn’t covered under warranty and that I must have done something to it like possibly put … a heavy box in the back seat and hit the frame around the sunroof or someone’s head could have hit I’m the frame and caused the dent in the frame. They stated the frame of the sunroof would cost me over 3,000 dollars to fix. Still trying to have this issue fixed and we are now in May of 2023. Prior to this happening, an airflow noise started in the rear passenger window and/or sunroof area. Then by February, the plastic Nissan trim on the front of the steering wheel rattles once I get up to 30 miles per hour or more. I have to press the plastic area down with my finger on the front of the steering wheel for the noise to stop. The second I release my finger it begins to rattle again. So now I’m dealing with a sunroof that has the rear part of the lining rolled up and tapped down( this is how the dealership returned the car to me after a week of having it) so the sun is constantly shinning in the back seat along with rattling and a constant air flow noise. I paid over 41,000 dollars for a brand new car with 16 miles on it and all of this happened before I put 2000 miles on my car. Nissan consumer affairs and the Nissan dealership have done nothing at all to fix the issues and continue to avoid every phone call I make to them to have this resolved. They told me it’s not covered under warranty. This is my 5th Nissan I have owned and it will be my last. There is no complaints regarding the sunroof YET as of now but there is about the air flow noise coming from back windows. I’m sure the rattling and sunroof complaints will start to show up soon for the 2022 Nissan maxima. All someone has to do is fix the errors and defects on products they sale consumers and there wouldn’t be complaints made but here we are. It truly is sad how money and greed trump taking ownership and responsibility for mistakes that are made.
