SV 4dr SUV AWD (1.5L 3cyl Turbo CVT)
I have been driving Nissan’s for the last 15 years. 2007 Murano, 2014 Rogue, and now a 2022 Rogue. All of them AWD as the Cleveland winters and my outside sales job requiring 20k miles per year will always have me needing AWD. I have only had my ‘22 Rogue for 4 weeks/1200 miles so far and I already LOVE it. The “turbo lag” takes a little getting used to but I enjoy how this car makes … power. Gas mileage is impressive and the acceleration from a 3 cylinder for such a large vehicle is a technology marvel. All the new technology is amazing! Like anything new it takes some getting used to, but it’s all great. I really like the Apple car play. The adaptive cruise control and Pro Pilot assist are great on the freeway. I have always used my cruise control as a speed control and ALWAYS have it on except when I’m backing out of my driveway. I shut the Pro Pilot off except when on the freeway as it’s a little much for 35-45 mph roads, but it’s one easy button and the car remembers your setting even after shutting off and re-starting. The adaptive cruise control is a little aggressive when breaking if someone pulls out in front of you or traffic is stopped, like previous cruise controls simply pressing the cancel button and then resume is super easy. The lane keep assist takes some adjustment time as you don’t realize how often you are cheating your lane in situations where no other cars are around (passing a semi on the freeway I tend to hug the white line on the left, or hugging the double yellow lines to straighten out a curve on a 2-way road). Speaking of curves, the paddle shifters are way fun and the car has a great sound when revs are in the power-band. I have tried not to use the paddle shifters too much for the first 1000 miles, but I can already see how much fun this feature and the 8 gears will be on back country roads after fully broken in. Reminds me of my motorcycle days. As usual Nissan does not disappoint and I hope to enjoy the same reliability Nissan has always provided me with.
