2023 MINI Hardtop 2 Door John Cooper Works 2dr Hatchback (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
I think this Mini Cooper JCW great car. It’s really it’s own thing, and doesn’t compare to other cars like the GTI/Golf R. It’s just different. I’ve owned both of those Volkswagens. They both had more power, but the power band was very narrow so that you had to constantly shift, and they couldn’t put the traction down. They also have this weird thing where they lift up in the front when … you put the pedal down. It feels like the engine is trying to twist and come out of the bottom of the car. The Mini doesn’t do that. I previously owned a BMW M235i. It had well over 400 hp as modified. The Mini has a little more than half the power, but is more fun. The power in the BMW was not really usable. You were illegal in four seconds. Driving the Mini, sometimes I feel like I’m flying as I run through the gears and I look down to see I’m only doing 65 mph. Corners like crazy. Looks great. Easy to wash and maintain because of the size. The way I see it, this is the cheapest high-performance BMW you can buy.
