Test Driver Ratings & Comments

Acceleration commentsThe best run was achieved by braking while accelerating off the line and leaving the shifting to the computer and transmission. When trying to manually shift, shift performance is a little slow. At full throttle when upshifting, you must move the shifter a little before the rpm you actually want the shift to occur at to cleanly engage the next gear. Otherwise you are waiting for the transmission to catch up to the physical movement of the shifter. The engine does provide enough verve to move the vehicle with authority. A vehicle that dips into the 14s and weighs almost 4,000 pounds certainly will provide most owners with entertaining performance.
Braking commentsBrake performance was outstanding especially given the weight of this vehicle, but it exhibited more brake pedal pulsation than expected. The ABS system produces a mild chattering noise followed by a buzzing sound that lasts until you remove your foot from the brake pedal. Neither noise was intrusive or even bothersome, just different from the usual ABS system noises.
