Test Driver Ratings & Comments

Acceleration commentsAlmost enough power to spin the tires on launch, but it still manages a chirp. Power trails off near redline, but it never feels/sounds ready to explode.
Braking ratingVery Good
Braking commentsVery good anti-dive character, firm pedal, very good fade resistance. Tires are playing a part, but not entirely.
Handling ratingExcellent
Handling commentsSkid pad: Impressive grip and poise. Again, tires are helping make the good number, but the balance is inherent in the chassis. Steering feel was unremarkable, good or bad. Slalom: I was shocked at how easily the Forte went through on the initial 60 mph "getting to know you" run, and confidently ramped up the speed to near 70 mph by the fourth pass. Wow. Excellent in transitions with good turn-in and trustworthy rear poise, albeit so-so steering response. I "beat" the steering pump on one or two quick corrections where it went stiff.
