Defective mechanical issuesPower Transfer Unit for the 4x4 system is known to fail since 2014 models. This item is also found on other Jeep models. When this part fails, the only replacement part available will be used on new vehicles and are not available to replace on vehicles already sold. This part has a nation wide shortage and not available. Why would anyone buy a product, pay it … off just to find yourself without a vehicle when something is defective and irreplaceable?
