Great, but...

2021 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Limited 4dr Hatchback (1.6L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid 6AM)
I bought a fully loaded Limited model in October and, for the first few weeks, I loved it. Great value, most every feature you could want, and excellent fuel economy (46 mpg in hilly terrain in cold weather and 55+ mpg in temperate weather). I've owned a Prius and two Fusion hybrids and this car far exceeds all of these on mpg).
Unfortunately, it wasn't long before the interminable … rattle in the rear hatch began. I tried everything I could think of and read every forum I could Google, but nothing I tried worked (adjusting bumpers, removing cargo cover) and no one else with this complaint had any success in resolving the issue. I heard this noise over every bump and road imperfection and even, oddly enough, when braking to a stop or accelerating from a stop. It has driven me mad. This is inexcusable for a $33,000 car.
Now, if you don't mind noise, it's a great car! I am very sensitive to ambient noise and this manufacturing defect ruined my experience!
I had to trade, which cost me quite a bit, even though I had positive equity in the vehicle because of the current shortage problem.
One other thing...the sales rep immediately turned on the radio during my test drive. With the car I just bought, the exact opposite experience happened...to show me how quite the vehicle was! If you test drive the Ioniq, make sure you drive over rough surfaces with radio off!
