When one is looking at these sweet little cars, be aware of a few things. 1. The rag top- make sure it fits and the latches are in good condition. 2. Be aware of any rust under the door and in the wheel wells. 3. Since mine only goes to 99999, be sure you get the real mileage on the car, I have notice some do not reflect what is really on the car. 4. Getting up to speed is very slow with this car, as long as you know this and don't expect it to speed down the road, you will be fine. This car is fun, fuel efficient and a looker as there are not to many of them on the road. This would not be a good car for the winter, so if you are looking for a cheap, fun convertible this may be the car for you! I purchased the car cheap enough to add and repair many of the things I wanted done. I totally love my car!

Its a great car stock but can also be upgraded for cheap ive put brembo brake system a turbo and 5 speed tranny with stage 3 clutch and still have the original engine they look small and weak but they can handle way more then u would think i had to upgrade to a chain timing have rims done to it race seats alot better tgen newer cars with all these saftey features to get in the way a very simple engine to work on can lift out with just your hands has alot of work done id never want to sell it. for so cheap it can be made into something people would never exspect very good car

Great little sports car

I just passed 185,000 miles and it's still going strong. It's a great car to drive down to the beach. Just drop the top and cruise. It's especially nice considering it only takes me 3 bucks in gas to get to the beach and back. Great little mini sports car.

Using 93 Octane, Full tire pressure, and a top notch Air Cleaner.. My Metro Gets 50 + MPG !!! Garage kept buy the one owner "Retired old lady" Never seen a hint of salt. Great car, Convertible, It might have a 1.0 liter Three Cylinder. But she has plenty of get up and go around the winding roads of Watkens Glen. Top speed Clocked at 108 MPH. Not too Shabby.

1990 Metro

I purchased the Metro to save money of fuel. I had a 50-mile commute every day for work and needed something cheaper than my fuel-thirsty V8 pickup truck. The little red car was a four door and had room for my fishing rods and equipment and had a surprisingly ability to get into and out of some places that you would think would require four wheel drive. The steering was light, but the engine lacked any real power. I once drove it on a 300 mile trip for my job on the interstate and my nerves were frayed afterward. I was rewarded with 43 miles per gallon on that trip which was the best mileage it ever got. It averaged 34. Also, it was a blast to drive in the snow; it's tiny narrow tires just kept on finding traction somehow. My Metro had air conditioning, and I lived in the humid south at that time but I rarely used the a/c, it cut the power in half and highway speeds were nearly impossible. It was aptly named Metro because around town is where it flourished. The a/c worked better in town it was cheap to drive, and it's small size made parking easy.
