We brought our 2015 Tahoe in for an oil change, tire rotation, and to program new key FOBs. The oil change and tire rotation were completed uneventfully. The service department was unable to program the 2 key FOBs and in the process disabled our functioning key FOB resulting In the car not starting and having to leave it at the dealership overnight. The service department did not have a loaner vehicle or curtousy car to use and I had to ride home with one of the maintenance personnel in their personal vehicle (he was nice and professional). The next day when our vehicle was finally able to start we were not offered to have our vehicle delivered to us or for someone to pick us up, so my wife had to clear her schedule and I had to take time off work in order to pick up our vehicle. Because I did not purchase the key FOBs from the dealership, they decided to not attempt to reprogram the FOBs again. We ended up purchasing a FOB from the parts department for $150 but was later told it should have been covered under warranty (did not receive a refund). When the FOB arrived and was programmed my wife asked the service department if they planned to waive the programming fee, the service personnel said with an attitude "ma'am it's only $30". He did however waive the fee but as she was leaving, once again with an attitude he said "You two ladies have a nice day" (my daughter is less than 2). My wife felt incredibly insulted and immediately called me to say she never wants to go back to Camp Cheverlot for service again. After spending over $60,000 on a vehicle I as disappointed with my first interaction with the service department.
