Passenger airbag recall service needed, "customer requested inspection"

onI called and scheduled the recall service for passenger airbag in our Tahoe. I received email confirmation of appointment as expected. A day or two later, I received another email confirming appt, but this one had another service listed, "customer requested multipoint inspection". I expect a service department to do an inspection when they have a vehicle in for service, but I don't expect nor accept the outright lie of saying it was "customer requested".
