Previously, took my car in for a cooling system flush. Instead of doing the entire system they drained it once or twice and refilled it. The technician identified a DEF smell to the coolant and did not continue flushing until smell was gone. Not only that, I left the dealership after paying and had to stop and purchase coolant because the technician didnt properly fill the system. After a few weeks, low coolant light came on again. At that time I identified that the system was leaking I went to fill it and could smell DEF. Took the car back for diagnostic, water pump was leaking and there is a DEF smell in the coolant. The pump was not leaking prior to getting the coolant flushed. I purchased and replaced the pump myself, they were going to charge me almost 2000 dollars for a crushed oring.
