onNissan of McKinney did decide to replace the oil filter for free. They said Nissan did not pay for it, and that it came out of the dealer's cost. Thanks.

The dealer did agree to replace the filter for free, but said that Nissan is not paying for it. So, Nissan of McKinney did replace it for free.
