Dealership Sales Review
I custom ordered my GL with George Buchannan of MBoHN in October '14. I was going to trade in my Cayenne S and buy a larger SUV to be able to travel with my family (including our 3-month old and a Great Dane) for Xmas holidays (1400 miles one way, give or take). GL I test drove was exceptional, very comfortable, peppy and roomy. Not quite the Cayenne, but not lagging far behind. Due to snafu from Tuscaloosa plant's Supply Chain Management, my vehicle was not built on time (come December, we are still waiting on the vehicle to be built). So George and Mr. Krunic (General Manager, I believe) get on the horn with dealerships all over, work their magic and work out a convoluted trade with another dealer to get me the closest matching vehicle. Now, did I mention that I was panicking at this point because I did not have a plan B how to get my family from Houston to our cabin in PA? So, they saved the day, gave us a great deal and a great trade in value for our Porsche and we made it to Pittsburgh in our new car. Xmas miracle! This is the second time we are dealing with the Dealership. We bought the custom ordered E250 from them earlier in the year and had the same great experience. Albeit, it was built in Germany (and not around Holidays) so no issues with delivery timing. But a great service! So, yes. I love my GL450. And yes, I miss my few gadgets George couldn't match with existing stock in Dealerships across the North America. But, would I purchase another vehicle from the same Dealer? You betcha! Once the closest match arrived, I was in and out in 1 hr...
