Dealership Service Review
I took my 2018 Ram 2500 truck to have the motor looked at as it was using oil. Took it in on Monday morning, 11December 2023. I was told by Jacob, they would get back to me in 2-3 days. By Thursday, 14 December, no one had called. I called the service dept and talked to Jacob. He didn’t have any information for me and said he would call later. He did call back telling me I needed to approve a $1000 diagnostic fee for them to tear down the motor to find the problem. I spoke with my insurance carrier, and they don’t approve diagnostic fees. I chose to pick up truck to get a 2nd opinion. When I went to pick up the truck, Jacob gave me my keys, and told me I owed $160 diagnostic charge. I asked him for a report of this diagnostic, I questioned what this charge was for and I shouldn’t have to pay for a diagnostic I didn’t get. Jacob told me “you need to leave now and never come back to this dealership again”. As I turned to walk out, another service employee rudely said “I wouldn’t have given your keys back”. This conversation took a matter of just a couple minutes. I can’t believe this employee even has the authority to talk to a customer this way.
