Lithia Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram FIAT of Bryan College Station
Dealership Sales Review
Disappointed and frustrated. I really don't like leaving negative reviews but my experience with this dealership has been so poor, I feel it would be negligent not to share my experience. I purchased a jeep grand cherokee around May 19th this year. Up until they didn't have my money, service was friendly, professional, and prompt. But once they had my money the follow up was frustrating, neglectful, and disappointing. 1. Immediately prior to sending me the paperwork, they notified me that they'd misquoted the mileage by 3000 miles (original quote was 46000). Not a big deal, likely an honest mistake. Although the explanation was that "the manager had been driving it." He drove it 3000 miles? Weird, but OK. The first data point in a trend. 2. Wrong price on the contract and loan amount (2000 more than advertised). I will share partial responsibility because I didn't initially read all the documents closely until after I had signed. By then the loan had been originated and down payment sent. I had to call repeatedly for 4 days until the finance manager *claimed* to have addressed the problem. Each day I called the sales person would give me another excuse for why the finance guy couldn't talk at the moment followed by a *promise* they would call me back by x o'clock. Each time, no phone call. Which required me to take time out of my day and keep calling. Extremely frustrating and disrespectful. The eventual proposed solution was to put 2000 (the difference between the original advertised price and the amount on the sales documents) towards the principle of the loan. Works for me. However it's now 2 months later and they have not made the payment. In addition to the irritation of having to chase them down *again* (so far unsuccessfully) I'm now paying interest on that 2000. Still unresolved. 3. Haven't sent new plates. My temporary plates expire in 2 days. It's been almost 2 months and they haven't sent the plates. I called 2 days ago. Again I was assured twice someone would call me back. No one did. Now I need to take time out of my day *again* to call them to do their job. In my view, taken together, these incidents and behaviors display a pattern representing a lack of care and concern for customers and an absence of professionalism in how staff at this dealership conduct their jobs. The constant shifting of the burden into me to call and text over and over to get them to do anything is maddening, frustrating, and disappointing. Caveat emptor.
