AutoNation Ford Arlington
Dealership Sales Review
Saw an F150 on edmunds that looked interesting, so I contacted the dealer. They were very anxious to have me come out as soon as possible. Before leaving home for the hour and 40 minute trip each way, I noticed on their website that it was a "courtesy vehicle". I asked how many miles were on it and was told 720. My wife and I discussed and decided that we could at least look at it, since it was hard to find a vehicle with the package I was looking for. The salesman was very evasive about confirming the price. Needless to say, after driving 110 miles, we got to the dealership and were brought to the vehicle. The vehicle showed signs of wear and was not clean and smelled slightly musty and was not the color I was expecting. Only after I started the vehicle did I realize that the odometer said 1590 miles. The salesman said something to the effect of "that vehicle is on loan at the moment". He was really interested in selling us that vehicle (which had about $2000 of aftermarket BS added to it). My wife and I walked out. I do not deal with people who lie to me, or with the dealership where the liar works, or with the whole AutoNation chain. We wasted 5+ hours of our time and drove 220 miles because we were lied to.
