Dealership Service Review
My 2019 XT-4 needed a state inspection as of 31 Dec 23 but could not pass the required emissions test without replacing an evaporative purge pump. The state inspection station near my home informed me that these pumps were very scarce and I needed to order one ASAP to avoid the state suspending my vehicle registration. I went to Herb Chambers Cadillac on saturday, 20 Jan 24 to get one ordered and obtain documentation to provide to the state that the part was indeed on order. I explained the situation to A J Pulvie who was the service advisor. Not only did he locate a pump for me, he also offered to have it installed if I were willing to wait which surprised me as the service department was quite busy that day. The car was repaired in short order and I was on my way home in under 2 hours at no cost to me as the part was still under warranty. A J helped me out in a huge way as I really wasn't too excited about going to the state garage and applying for a waiver. Though I've had more than a few issues with my XT'4, I can honestly say that the service department at Herb Chambers Cadillac has always done their best for me. I'm especially pleased with A J Pulvie because of the trouble he went through to expedite this matter, keeping in mind that I came in only to order a pump with no expectations of service as I had no appointment.
