I admit that I was put off by the Scion building being locked up during opening hours. Especially after the rude reception or lack there of I received from every other dealer I went to. I wanted to see the FR-S RS-1 that was inside the building and after realizing the door was locked I was pretty tired. I was fussing to my sister when a sales rep by the name of Jim Yoxall walked up. He walked all the way from the Toyota building in the crappy cold kinda rainy weather and greeted me. There was no mistake that he was there to see if he could help me find a car and get himself a sale. Which is fine by me. Sales is how he makes his money. He wasn't that knowledgable about the scions, but he did tell me he normally deals with the Toyota side. He listened to me tell him how ridiculous it is to have the Scion area closed and gave me his card. I contacted him about a test drive and off we went. He had listened to my ramblings about my life overseas and asked questions. Even though it was a sale he was genuinely interested. After the test drive was complete he asked me to drive the car to the scion lot, because he couldn't drive a stick. That was awesome. We road down to the section listening to Lionel Richie's "Sail On" and even sat there until the song was done. He worked with me when I told him I need to get my official drivers license, because I had lived overseas for the past 20 years. When he told me they'd have no problem getting me approved he wasn't lying. I told him I don't need all the extra hoopla that comes from the up sell with the finance guy. He definitely listened to what I want and don't want, because the finance guy didn't try to up sell me and that was awesome. My military credit union offered me a better rate, but I decided to with Toyota's financing, because they did try to batch and they came down a point+. It was a good experience and I am happy with the buggy. I actually drove one for track days while I was living in Tokyo. Always thought about buying one, but I was ready for that mustang when I got back to the states. I wanted that 2015 Ecoboost Mustang with the MyFord touch package, but the "he can't buy anything" treatment I got from the ford dealers in the area turned me off. It was the kindness and honesty of Mr. Yoxall that brought me back to buy my second choice. I had several second choices too. All the dealers treated me the same. I was quite frustrated when I drove on to Spitzer's lot, so I can say for a fact that I have already recommended Spitzer to several people who told me they are looking for a vehicle.
