Dealership Sales Review
I think our salesman Trevor did a great job, but overall, it was just average which is a little disappointing. So, this is nothing against our salesman. He’s extremely polite, professional, and knowledgeable. We’re used to Southpointe providing above average service and sometimes in the excellent range. What we got this time seemed like average service at best that you can get anywhere. The trade in seemed fair and the negotiation in the end seemed reasonably fair. What I didn’t like is that we had already signed all the papers on a car without knowledge that it hadn’t been through the shop. Had we known it had so much wrong with it, we would have picked something else. They were nice enough to give us a 2nd key fob (after some complaining). Another thing I didn’t like is they had my middle name wrong on the paperwork. They did an affidavit of correction (they said) but none of that showed up in the final paperwork. Mistakes happen and are totally forgivable, but I wish the final paperwork had been corrected. So, when the final deal was done and I was driving away, we weren’t 100% happy. And then when I looked at the gas gauge, they let me drive off with only 1/8 of a tank! That made me a little upset. I guess filling up the tank would have been above and beyond after they told us they would? I don’t know, but when you expect it and it doesn’t happen, you definitely walk away feeling like the service could have been better. Also, I wish the service department would put a sticker on the windshield so I know for sure the oil change was done and as a reminder to know when it’s due again. They also didn’t reset the computer for the oil life remaining. In any business, there are a lot of moving parts with pros and cons with the customer experience. After being fairly loyal to Southpointe over the years, this experience makes us want to consider other places for the future. But then again, other places might be the same way. I’m just disappointed because I’ve gotten accustomed to expecting more from Southpointe. We’re usually between a 4 and 5 on satisfaction, but this time I’d put it between 2 and 3. Just being honest. I’m rounding up to a 3 only because Trevor did a great job. Letting me drive off with hardly any gas made my dissatisfaction worse, but that wasn’t Trevor’s fault because he was not there when I picked up the car 3 days later after it went through the shop. I don’t expect perfection, but I think you guys can step up and do a little better. Thank you for your time!
