Dealership Service Review
It's raining heavily on a Saturday morning and my wife returns from the local deli after getting coffee and bagels in new MY24 Defender that is now six months old. Both her rear tires are low on air pressure (one by 8 psi and one by 5 psi) after I had previously topped them off two weeks ago. While I inspected all the angles I could see, there were no noticeable nails or screws. What to do? Call Bob Decker in JLR Parsippany's Service Department who was fortunately covering the service desk this particular Saturday. I live about 40 miles away from the dealership and Bob said to come right in. Upon arrival, he took my keys and had a tech immediately take our Defender into the shop. The tech found a metal shard had punctured the inner sidewall of the driver side tires and there was a long small-head nail between the treads of the passenger side tire. While the latter could be patched, the former needed to be replaced. Bob "worked his magic" and his local tire supplier drove a new replacement tire over to the dealership in real-time. My vehicle was fixed and I was in-and-out in less then 90 minutes during this unscheduled while-I-wait service visit. Kudos to Bob and the Service Department team at JLR Parsipanny!!!
