Joe Basil Chevrolet

My daughter and son-in-law went to Basil Chevrolet in mid-September to buy a 2024 Trax. They had none onsite so they put a deposit on one that was "in transit" and was told it would be there in six weeks. Eight weeks later, no Trax and my son-in-law calls to inquire and they tell him "I don't know who told you six weeks, that vehicle won't be here until February." WHAT? When they left the deposit they were told it was built and only needed to be transported from overseas. NOW Basil also gave them some BS about the autoworkers strike affecting delivery. These vehicles are produced in South Korea and those facilities are NOT affected by any labor movement in the U.S. Plus like I stated earlier, they were told the vehicle WAS ALREADY BUILT and only needed to be transported. This whole ordeal has been a total waste of time for my kids and this dealership should be ASHAMED that they LIED to a customer who went there in good faith. Now they are tap dancing around fact and fiction when clearly either the salesperson did not know what they were doing or the dealership parceled off the vehicle meant for my kids to somebody else. Either way, they will get no more business from any of my family and I will make it a mission to let everyone I know how they operate.
