Dealership Service Review
As a result of having my 40,000 mile service "done" at Lithia Volkswagen, we now need a new transmission. It is standard during the 40,000 mile service for the DSG transmission service to be done. It was not. We brought our 2006 Jetta TDI into a different VW dealership for an oil change and to check our transmission which was acting funny. They discovered that the transmission filter had not been changed and the transmission had not been serviced. We asked if that was not covered under the 40,000 mile service and they informed us that it is standard to be completed then. As a result of our transmission not being serviced, we have to replace the transmission. We have attempted numerous times to contact Lithia VW of Reno, with no response. We have now filed a complaint with BBB of NV and our new dealership has filed a complaint with Volkswagen of America. We hope some resolution will come of those.
