TERRIBLE SERVICE
Written by localbusiness1 on 09/11/2017

If I could give this business zero stars I would. My family owns a local business which has spent a considerable amount of money at Lithia Dodge Great Falls. This ranges from: purchasing 4 vehicles from Lithia Dodge thus far, purchasing the bumper to bumper extended warranties that Lithia offers, having many vehicles detailed, purchasing the life-time oil changes, as well as paying for repairs on some of our fleet vehicles. Two of the Dodge trucks we own had differentials go out in them (both trucks had lifetime bumper to bumper warranties purchased from Lithia). We took them to Lithia in February. The shop manager, Bill, informed us that they were looking for a vendor to start manufacturing the differentials and there was no time frame as to when that would be. Later in February, Bill told us that they were approved to be replaced, and just waiting on parts. As my business relies on my vehicles I needed to check on them regularly. In mid-March we were told there was still no time frame. At the end of March Bill told me that he had gotten approval from the warranty company to purchase the parts from an outside vendor, he just had to find them (I later found out this was also a lie as, when I called the warranty, that request had never been submitted by Bill and therefore was never approved). By mid-April Bill said he had checked with Randy’s Ring & Pinion & all other Montana based auto parts suppliers and couldn’t find them anywhere, so the differentials would be on hold until they were located. In June Bill said Chrysler had gotten a new distributor and would ship them as soon as they were manufactured. By the end of June Bill told us they were manufactured and waiting on permission to be shipped to Lithia Dodge of Great Falls. We received the same feedback all through July & August. I also want to add that Bill told me specifically that he did not have to do business with me or honor my warranty purchased here. He told me that he could make me go to another Dodge dealer, knowing there is not another one in Great Falls. He informed me that the only reason he was doing business with me at all was because I had spent a considerable amount of money there. He told me that him and his shop guys didn’t like my attitude and that if I ever wanted to have my vehicles serviced or fixed that I needed to bring them candies, donuts, treats, and basically suck up to them and beg them to do it. I did buy them donuts twice and bring them some candies and treats. I was desperate for my work vehicles. In the beginning of September I called Randy’s Ring & Pinion and was informed that they have the differentials in stock for purchase and they had been available the whole time. In addition to all of this in February an employee of mine went to Lithia and requested a loaner vehicle. Lithia never called me and asked if I wanted this vehicle or would accept responsibility for it. I never signed any documents or contracts for this vehicle. They asked my employee to sign a blank form with only the year, make and model of the vehicle on it, so they knew who had it and where it was; the employee signed it. The jeep was returned in the end of July/ beginning of August. Last week I sent two of my managers to pick up my trucks so I could have my own mechanics fix them as I need them to run my business and am losing too much money trying to get Lithia to fix them. My managers were told that before my trucks could be released to them, Bill needed to know what we were doing about the repair costs to the loaner vehicle. The loaner vehicle was not wrecked or damaged; the repairs included: a new paint job, detailing, a new windshield, etc.. My manager informed Bill that I am not legally liable for this loaner vehicle as I never consented to it being released to me or signed any contacts r legally binding documents for it. Bill insisted that I did. My manager brought me a copy of such contract, which was filled out by multiple people in different color pens at different times. They had taken the blank one they had the employee signed for and added my name and address, with someone else’s phone number and another person’s signature. Nothing was accurate on it and I had nothing to do with this contact. I had never even seen a copy of it.
