I have had the second, third and fourth generations of the Prius for 7 years. The last one being the Prius Plug In. It was a very good car, but I got hooked on having a almost all electric car for my short daily trips. As the Prius only gave between 9 and 11 miles daily. And I was uncomfortable in cold weather trying to avoid using the heater as it ate up the electric miles.(also the gas engine kicks in sporadically). I started looking at the Volt literature and chat lines and then decided to test drive it. That was satisfactory so I then decided to order one exactly as I wanted. The dealership was totally cooperative and the car was recently delivered. So, here is your answer. It is the best car that I have ever driven. It is solid with a great ride. I can use it in all electric mode and the climate control is excellent. I like the electronics and appreciate the thought that went into them. ( I am a former software programmer). That is my story.
