After jumping the car and driving it back, they checked it and said the battery needed to be replaced. Instead of replacing it on-site, they sent the car to the BMW service center, where it sat for over four weeks. This delay was clearly an attempt to bypass Maryland’s repair timeframe law. For reference, BMW always has batteries in stock and could have replaced it in a single day. When the car still wouldn’t start after all this, I reached out again, only to be told by their service staff, particularly Lorrine, that they wouldn’t help or cover any fees anymore. Her dismissive attitude was unacceptable. I went back to the dealership and spoke to Russel, who was polite and tried to help, but the used car manager, Calvin, refused to cover the repair costs. Calvin has ignored my repeated calls and emails, even though he’s seen all my complaints. I finally scheduled an appointment with BMW, where they informed me the real issue wasn’t the battery—it’s the head unit. The repair estimate is $4,693.97, and DARCARS Toyota refuses to take responsibility or even return my calls or emails.
