Ed Napleton's Kia Of Elmhurst
Dealership Service Review
Beware of scheduling a service “appointment” at this dealer. They accept more appointments than they have capacity to repair on a given day. I made a recent appointment for a warranty repair and dropped off the car on time. (The parts had been on order for five months and we were never notified they arrived until we called to inquire, but that is a separate matter). I was informed when dropping off the car (not when scheduling the appointment) that it was possible it would not be complete in one day, but they would make every effort to get it finished that day. They prefer to communicate via text, and didn’t respond to my inquiry in the afternoon about the status of the repair. I checked the Kia app and found out that night the car had been parked and locked since I dropped it off. Work did not even begin until 24 hours after my appointment. I would have much preferred to drop off the car the next day - when they actually worked on the car, instead of having it parked at the dealer for an entire day and unavailable for my family’s use. The service department had a very apathetic attitude about this - they didn’t care at all about my inconvenience. I don’t know if it is because of the lower profits of a warranty repair, or if they treat all customers this poorly.
