AutoNation Toyota Thornton Road
Dealership Sales Review
August 13, 2020 I recently purchased a used car with your Toyota Dealership Thornton Road, GA. Carvana is sooo much simpler and straight forward. We are going on 10 days now and I still don’t have any papers or temporary tags that I paid for. The original deal was supposed to cover delivery. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!! I signed the updated quote they came up with and then got a call that delivery was not included after asking the salesman several times if it was before signing. He also said that he or another person would likely be delivering it. The papers arrived to me instead of the notary (notary’s name, but my address) 3 days after quote was signed. We did the papers and she took the check and sent it back to the dealership the next day via FedEx overnight.... and it was 2 days later that I heard from someone. They had gotten the check and it was verified. GAMES CONTINUE!!!! At this point I found out that now it was going to be delivered by transport (pickup truck with a regular trailer.) It would be the following week for delivery. Monday comes and I have to contact dealership to find out it would be Tuesday delivery. It wasn’t delivered Tuesday, and I didn’t receive a call telling me it was delayed. The vehicle was delivered Wednesday afternoon. This was a week after you had my 36K and I had no paperwork or anything to prove my purchase. That’s right; the vehicle came with no papers or tags. Just one FOB. They should have noted that there was only one key FOB and no other way to access the vehicle in the sales info as those are very expensive to get and having only one set of keys should be an insurance issue. Insurance issue if insurance company covers locksmith if you lose or lock your one key in the car. You say no haggle in your advertisements but when you send a quote it contains items like: • $300 mats.....Weathertech ones are less • $1000 paint & Scratch protection...for a used car that already has scratches???? • $699 document fee - obviously not to pay for documents as they haven’t been delivered yet, even though the vehicle is here. If you’re going to try to do a delivery service you better get your act together. We will see if FedEx gets here at a decent time tomorrow so that I can actually drive my new truck or perhaps I can make a special trip to FedEx Facility to pick up tonight. 5 day return policy will be gone by the time I have much time in it. For in industry that want to change their persona...this was not the way to do it.
