After having a horrible experience at another Honda dealership, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional customer service and experience at Gwinnett Place Honda -- especially thanks to Ali Shigri, a Service Advisor at the location. In late December I learned my engine block was cracked; my 2007 Honda Civic EX did have an extended warranty on the issue but unfortunately I was outside of the 10 years by 1 year. The other Honda location basically said too bad and not to contact them unless I wanted them to replace my engine for well over $3000.00. However, when I took it to Ali, he went above and beyond to contact Honda headquarters and see if they could help me as my car only has 111,000 miles on it. In the meantime, he let me have a loaner car so I could continue to get around Atlanta easily during the holiday season. I was so relieved. Honda couldn't cover me 100% but they offered me a significant discount since the issue was typically under the warranty extension. During the fix, Gwinnet Place Honda also found that one of my engine mounts was completely broken and my O2 sensor was rusted beyond use. They made the repairs quickly and I had my car back within 10 days. Ali was very upfront and honest with me and kept me posted on my vehicle regularly. I am so impressed by the fact that he did all of this for me as a general customer as I had never been to this location before. I will be taking my car here for any future repairs and if I do choose to buy another car it will also be at Gwinnett Place Honda! Thank you, Ali!
