AutoNation Acura North Orlando
Dealership Service Review
Took too long, I purchased a battery in 2020 for my Acura RDX. It went bad without waring even though it was a 100 month battery, it only lasted 43 months. I called and was told to bring it with the receipt. I did, the cause was internal only putting out 300 cracking amps. I went to the parts store and was told it would be a 60 40 split. I would have to pay 40% as it was 43 months old. Then I had to wait for a lot of paperwork between parts and service. When the parts person brought me a replacement, the new one had one side that was bulging out, I asked if this was normal. " There response, I am not going to argue with you, I will get you another one. I thought this was an odd response. I asked the Service Advisor, His response was " No its not normal". If I was not knowledgeable the parts staff would of let me take a new battery that was defective. 20 minutes of administration passed by. In total I was there 30 to 45 minutes to swap out a battery that I walked in with. The vehicle was at home. How long would it have been if they had installed it for me, and what would have been the charge. My expectation was it would be a 15 minute transaction.
