Dealership Sales Review
I was communicating with their sales team about a pre-owned vehicle. I called about it, said that I was familiar with the car, and was very interested in buying one with the same exterior/interior colors. I said I could not drive down that day but could take time off work the next day to drive 2.5 hrs to see the car in person. I asked if there was a way to put a deposit on the car so they would hold it for me until I could see it but was told that’s not an option, but the keys would be set aside for me if I told them I was on my way. I made an appointment and they called me twice the day of my appointment to confirm I was coming. I asked if the car was still going to be there when I got there, as I was driving 2.5 hours to see it, and was told yes. But when I got to the dealership, a sales associate casually said that a guy was in the process of purchasing the car at the very moment/deal was already made. I was shocked. I told him I had an appointment and had driven in to look at the car, and he just kind of shrugged and said he had been working “six deals that morning” on the car. I wasted five hours of my time and barely got an apology.
