My car play was intermittently shutting off, since month 3 of owning the car. There was always a 'reason" for the malfunction. the reasons were: bad cord, not on the current update of the software, my connection to the phone must be bad and on a on. The real issue was the head unit itself and conveniently when Sullivan decided to replace it after my many visits; my vehicle was out of the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty and I had to pay for it. CarPlay is exetremely distracting as it is and I travel and all the time. The cutting out and my having to fumble with my phone to try and reconnect was so unsafe. I also had it checked in NC (where they "reset" the system again) because I was traveling and was charged $100.
