Unscheduled Appointment For Battery Replacement

onMy 12 volt battery died while my 2017 Volt was parked at the airport. I called my service advisor while my car was being jumped at the airport to see if I could get the car dropped off for a battery check and/or replacement. There was no issue with doing this even though I had not scheduled an appointment. Once I got there I was told that the car would need to be kept overnight. I was given a courtesy ride to a rental car agency whom AutoNation works with. I was given updated status on my car repair, which included a couple of extra service recommendations based on my car's mileage. I was able to pick up the car at the expected time.
