2022 Acura TLX 4dr Sedan w/2.0T and A-Spec Package (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 10A)
My initial experience with the TLX was a 2021 model I had purchased in September 2021. Tech Package with the SH-AWD. Great car. So great, it may have saved my life in an auto accident Christmas Eve, 2021. The car had no issues for the three and a half months I owned it. The SH-AWD was exceptional, as was the ride and sound system. Even fuel economy wasn't too bad with an avg. … of 28 HWY on the car. I liked that car so much, this past April I purchased a 2022 A-Spec FWD model. Its enjoyable to drive, with a slightly firmer ride, ELS sound system with a few more speakers than the previous TLX an ventilated seats. HWY fuel economy is about 29 to 31, the only drawback being that it takes premium fuel like that previous TLX I had did. Build Quality on this particular unit was subpar to what I experienced on my first TLX. Puddle lights on the outside of BOTH driver and passenger mirrors have been replaced, as has the drivers airbag for a rattle, in addition to one of the seals on the B pillar that was either bad or not set correctly which was allowing the drivers window to make an occasional tapping noise during windy days on the hwy.
Would I buy this car again? I did it once, but this second time owning this car has made me rethink my decision should I be faced with it again. Don't get me wrong, the Acura is a good looking car, nice features and retains quite a bit of value after 4 or 5 years, but quality problems that aren't easily addressed or resurface can be a drawback for wanting to re purchase a 47k car.
