That's funny, we call it a 2.4l. I didn't think the 2.5l came out until 2009. Anyway, you should be closer to 27 on the highway per the EPA rating. Not sure what's going on though. The other easy thing to check is the air filter. Any owners have any feedback?

2009 RAV4 won't start in cold weather
Wednesday morning, following a very cold night (but we've had colder!), my RAV wouldn't start. Wouldn't even crank when I turned the key in the ignition.....just dead silence. Interest rate on Toyota CPO vehicles
I am looking at certified pre-owned vehicles, including Rav4s from 2008-2009. There does not appear to be any low interest financing on certified Toyotas (as there is on VW's--1.9%). The only language I have seen on Toyota websites is that CPO vehicles are eligible for Toyota's "new car financing rates." Does anyone know what APRs and loan lengths are available from Toyota on certified cars?

When pushing the start button, there's always a slight pause, a unique sound (described previously as grinding, but it's definitely in the dash electronics, not mechanical), then the vehicle starts. It's done this since day one for me, so I've always assumed that's "normal". Is this atypical, or common to all new, keyless RAV4s?

I was wondering what your problem was and how did you get it fixed? My Rav4 is a 2009 and I had it since April 2008, but all of a sudden it hasn't been starting. Same story as everyone else.

To the folks asking about a RAV 4-cylinder, Limited: Mine has 4WD, extra value package QY, backup camera, and other odds and ends that I didn't want. MSRP was $29,000. If you choose to purchase your vehicle from Fitzmall you can have it serviced at any Toyota dealership, you are not obligated to have it done at a certain dealership as the initial warranty is from the manufacture and not the dealership. From the sound of things if Fitzmall has what you want I'd buy from them if the local dealers refuse to budge on their price.

Yes I would say there is a problem with the a/c. On my toyota I had the a/c compressor go bad, and when it did that I heard what sounded like water rushing through a pipe.
