2003 Chrysler Voyager LX Value 4dr Minivan (2.4L 4cyl 4A)
The van had a clean carfax, low miles, and checked out fine at auto shop. However, after 1200 miles from purchase, the transmission went out, had a complete rebuild done on it. now about 1200 miles later she is going into the shop again to get the transmission rebuilt again. Also, the alternator went bad, tie rods went bad, has a new electrical issue, and has just become a pile of junk we get to pay for.
Well it does start in -18 degrees...
Include a small jug of gas and a few matches for the owners to burn it. This is the actual worst vehicle I have ever owned.
I am so sorry you got hosed. We learned from your example and avoided buying too much vehicle for the engine, and your statement was most helpful. Interestingly enough, before I grew up, Daddy traded in a truck he loved on a Generation I version of your minivan and it bombed equally spectacularly.
Shows that Chrysler only builds good vans when they feel like it. Which is in at most 45% of all the vans they made, based on reviews here.
