Hi, There was a recall to fix the faulty o-rings on my 1995 LHS. Dealer did the fix 4 years ago. All was well for a while and now same problem has come back. Dealer says they will not fix it again since the recall was done. Apparently they are only allowed to do it once. Independent mechanic checked out the problem and says fuel rail and oring leaking.. my questions ... Read More

My Chrysler LHS 1995 some times do not start. I found the vehicle with NO power to the system (NO interior lights, NO radio, NO power at all) of course it will not start. Some times with a little tap to the fuse box it will allow the power to be delivered and after that is normal operation. Lately with some vibrations the power is cut-off and the car stops until ... I see that among the Chrysler townhall boards, you folks seem to be the enthusiasts so I'll join you for a while. I never thought I would be driving a car like the LHS, but last Wednesday, my boss told me that my company car (1995 Firebird Formula) was to be turned in. He FAXed me a list of cars available for GSA purchase and gave me a $20,000 (GSA price) ... Read More

I too, have had nothing but trouble with this car. I bought it 18mos ago with 32,000. I have had 3 rack n pinions,2 waterpumps, at this very moment the third transmission is being installed (2 in two days) chrysler just can't get it right. Thank god for extended warrantees. Biggest problem I have is idle vibration when stopped at red light. RPM's drop down to 500 and the whole car ... Read More

I owned a 1995 LHS and had excellent performance with it. This prompted me to buy a 1999 LHS which I did in June of 1998. Unfortunately I had nothing but nagging problems and recently traded it in. The car was at the dealers more times than I care to mention, but I do have the documentation. The car never ran right and the dealers (2 of them) just shrugged. I ... Read More

  • LHS driver legroom

I just completed removing the seat from my 1995 LHS and find that it would be one big undertaking to change the brackets to move the seat back. The front bracket bolts against a cross member in the floor pan. The rear bracket just bolts to the floor but the hole would have to move back if the seat were moved back. Is there a place on the internet that a ... Read More

I got the answer from my dealer on the driver seat location. Chrysler will not allow them to modify a new car. If I buy it and have the seat modified it voids the warranty on the power seat, memory, etc. I guess Chrysler wants me in a Buick. I think I will look closely at my 1995 seat to see if it can be modified since it surely is out ... Read More

A friend of mine here at work just got back from the Chrysler dealership. She has a 1995 LHS that died on the freeway on Monday night. Apparently the engine temp rose and then the engine shut down. The whole engine if fried, I mean melted belts and warped oil pan, etc. They tried to tell her it was the water pump, but there is no water or oil in the ... Read More
