NEW YORK — The refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its world debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show.

The new Camaro "advances the design and performance attributes that have made it the most popular sports car under $50,000 for three consecutive years," said GM in a statement.

GM offered no further details at this point, but upgrades are expected to include suspension and wheel/tire packages. Interior improvements may also be in the works.

The Camaro targets the Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang and Hyundai Genesis coupe.

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible and coupe will also be on display at the New York auto show.

Edmunds says: The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will be one of the key unveilings — at least for domestic manufacturers — in the Big Apple.

Why are the first three lines/paragraphs repeated?

It's hard to see the Genesis Coupe as a competitor to the Camaro. V6 to V6, maybe. But what analog does Hyundai have for the Camaro's V8? And what analog does Chevy have for the Genesis Coupe's turbo 4?

If GM doesn't address issues with the visability and interior, then it's a no sale for me. Loved both engine options, and the road manners, but the interior and poor visability were a deal braker.

Not really interested. Just a warm over until the new Camaro comes in 2015.

A refresh? That's it? It should be a rehaul....namely, making it smaller and about 200 lbs lighter, and with a 430-435 hp version of the new Corvette LT1 Anything else would be a mistake, since the new 2015 Mustang is going to rock it's world otherwise. It probably will anyway, since it outperforms the current Camaro already with a live rear axle. When it has an IRS, it will be embarrassing for Chevy.
