Audi A3 Transmission Problems

  • Re: car bucking between 2d and 3rd gear [kopp2it]

    Written by: rich167 on Oct 29, 2011 7:24:55 AM

I've had the same problem with my 2010 Audi A3 (only 24,500 miles), so apparently they haven't fixed anything. The car bucks in the early gears when accelerating from a stop and, even worse from a safety standpoint, it nearly stalls completely when accelerating into passing lanes. I've nearly had 3 accidents due to this transmission problem. Similar to others, the dealers seem to consider this an unusual situation that they ... Read More

I have a 2010 Audi A3 automatic quattro with 20K. It started having issues at around 12K. Severe clunking between 1st and 2nd after 20-40 minutes of driving. As well as a clunk into reverse. And very slow with bucking when in stop and go traffic. I was brushed off by the first audi service center but the second service place dropped the transmission and I was told the unit had ... You're very welcome b2thev. The dealer cash that you mentioned is only available on leftover 2010 A3 TDI models, so the new one that you ordered would not be eligible for it. $750 to $1,000 over invoice is a reasonable selling price for this car. Audi Financial Services' May buy rate lease money factor for this car is .00159 for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. Car_man Host Prices ... Read More

Hello mwahlert. Audi Financial Services' October buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 A3 2.0T Premium Plus with quattro and 15,000 miles per year are .00090 and 52%, respectively. I don't believe that Audi is leasing 2010 A3s any longer. If you really want one, you can either finance it at 1.9T for 5 years or take advantage of $1,500 dealer cash. ... Read More

Thanks. How do you figure "equity," provided the three figures you reference in your post? No problems with my A3. Really nice car. I like it just fine, but I haven't loved it (as I did previously leased A4s). I wouldn't have even considered trading, but the sales associate made it sound pretty easy. I figured if it's not too costly, I'd look into it. Obviously, I know that paying for ... Read More

I'm really curious about how Audi handles early lease termination when you pick up a new Audi lease. I'm about half way into an A3 lease through AFS. When I had the car in to the dealer for service, I was browsing the showroom. A sales person came up and told me that it's no problem to turn in a car early, as long as you sign a lease on another ... Read More

I'd be happy to help you out, westoftown. According to the latest information that I have seen, Audi Financial Services' July buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 A3 TDI Premium Plus with 12,000 miles per year are .00174 and 51%, respectively. That residual value is definitely right, but the money factor might be old and off slightly. Audi is currently running ... Read More

Here is my 2 cents on this matter. I was skimming through all the replies trying to find a solution for my transmission DSG jerking issue in my 2008 Audi A3, actually been having this issue for 1.5 yrs now roughly a couple of months after buying it brand new. Hi eurocar3. Let's take a look at this deal. The dealer invoice price for the car that you described is $30,982. That puts the selling price that you were quoted at around $1,000 over invoice if the $500 loyalty cash has not already been taken into account and $1,500 over if it has. If you are in an area that has a decent level of competition, I would not be surprised ... Read More

Audi Financial Services' current buy rate for a 42 month lease of a 2010 A3 is .00028. Make sure to insist that the dealer uses that factor to calculate your car's payment. Let's work up a sample payment on one assuming that you were able to get it for $500 over dealer invoice. Reasonable but bet they won't move. I'd do the deal if they throw in the audicare. 500 isn't much if the car meets all your needs. Audi doesn't do much on the a3 -- you can deal better on the a4. Depends what you like.
