I've had the same problem with my 2010 Audi A3 (only 24,500 miles), so apparently they haven't fixed anything. The car bucks in the early gears when accelerating from a stop and, even worse from a safety standpoint, it nearly stalls completely when accelerating into passing lanes. I've nearly had 3 accidents due to this transmission problem. Similar to others, the dealers seem to consider this an unusual situation that they ... Read More
I have a 2010 Audi A3 automatic quattro with 20K. It started having issues at around 12K. Severe clunking between 1st and 2nd after 20-40 minutes of driving. As well as a clunk into reverse. And very slow with bucking when in stop and go traffic. I was brushed off by the first audi service center but the second service place dropped the transmission and I was told the unit had ... You're very welcome b2thev. The dealer cash that you mentioned is only available on leftover 2010 A3 TDI models, so the new one that you ordered would not be eligible for it. $750 to $1,000 over invoice is a reasonable selling price for this car. Audi Financial Services' May buy rate lease money factor for this car is .00159 for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. Car_man Host Prices ... Read More
Hello mwahlert. Audi Financial Services' October buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 A3 2.0T Premium Plus with quattro and 15,000 miles per year are .00090 and 52%, respectively. I don't believe that Audi is leasing 2010 A3s any longer. If you really want one, you can either finance it at 1.9T for 5 years or take advantage of $1,500 dealer cash. ... Read More
The beginning june, 2010, my locale dealer wanted full sticker for their last exec demo, then i was out of the country and bogged down for about 6 weeks.previously pines audi had stock and very good pricing--500 over dealer invoice Everything was sold out and the new 2011's were coming in. i am still drivng my 2006 A3. I would like to buy A3 TDI prem+ My locale dealer was not ... Read More
Thanks. How do you figure "equity," provided the three figures you reference in your post? No problems with my A3. Really nice car. I like it just fine, but I haven't loved it (as I did previously leased A4s). I wouldn't have even considered trading, but the sales associate made it sound pretty easy. I figured if it's not too costly, I'd look into it. Obviously, I know that paying for ... Read More
I'm really curious about how Audi handles early lease termination when you pick up a new Audi lease. I'm about half way into an A3 lease through AFS. When I had the car in to the dealer for service, I was browsing the showroom. A sales person came up and told me that it's no problem to turn in a car early, as long as you sign a lease on another ... Read More
I'd be happy to help you out, westoftown. According to the latest information that I have seen, Audi Financial Services' July buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 A3 TDI Premium Plus with 12,000 miles per year are .00174 and 51%, respectively. That residual value is definitely right, but the money factor might be old and off slightly. Audi is currently running ... Read More
Hi Carman, I've got an '08 A3 2.0T with a lease that expires in mid-November. I've just spotted a 2010 A3 TDI Premium Plus with the convenience package, cold weather package, and Bose for $31543. Could you tell me the current residual rate and money factor for A3 TDIs for 3yr/36K leases? Is Audi running any customer loyalty program right now? Does Audi ever buy you out of an existing lease ... Read More
Here is my 2 cents on this matter. I was skimming through all the replies trying to find a solution for my transmission DSG jerking issue in my 2008 Audi A3, actually been having this issue for 1.5 yrs now roughly a couple of months after buying it brand new. I believe my odometer is at 33k now, but I notice the jerking issue back when it was around 10k. At ... Read More
Hi eurocar3. Let's take a look at this deal. The dealer invoice price for the car that you described is $30,982. That puts the selling price that you were quoted at around $1,000 over invoice if the $500 loyalty cash has not already been taken into account and $1,500 over if it has. If you are in an area that has a decent level of competition, I would not be surprised ... Read More
Here's the information that you're looking for, flyfish23. Audi Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 A3 2.0T Premium quattro with 15,000 miles per year are .00062 and 50%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are .00082 and 48%. This car's 42 month numbers are .00082 and 46%. If you were to lease it with ... Read More
Hi flyfish23. The residual value that you were quoted looks about right, but you're correct the money factor that you were quoted is indeed too high. Audi Financial Services' current buy rate for a 42 month lease of a 2010 A3 is .00028. Make sure to insist that the dealer uses that factor to calculate your car's payment. I am not personally all that familiar with what the market is like ... Read More
Maybe you would like this one, although there are just some minor changes such as reshaped side mirrors and chrome strips on the door handles on the exterior and a new gear selector for the S tronic transmission, a flat-bottomed leather sports steering wheel and others on the inside. Hi mdc1114. the car that you're interested in probably has a spread of around $2,300 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price, give or take. Let's work up a sample payment on one assuming that you were able to get it for $500 over dealer invoice. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2010 Audi A3 TDI Premium Plus that has an MSRP of $34,000 and ... Read More
Reasonable but bet they won't move. I'd do the deal if they throw in the audicare. 500 isn't much if the car meets all your needs. Audi doesn't do much on the a3 -- you can deal better on the a4. Depends what you like.
Hi sjmd. Audi is providing lease support on the 2010 A3 this month. Its current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 A3 Premium Plus quattro with 12,000 miles per year are .00062 and 50%, respectively. Audi is providing owner loyalty cash on this model for current owners and lessees. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum

locale dealer is talk straight list price on TDI A3. Anyone else looking? What are these Tdi selling for compared to either list or invoice. I'm in Miami and had purchased a prior A3 for invoice at the change over between 06 and 07 in may, 2007. there is a new sales team who appear to be jerks....but they are just so close to my office. anyone has the updated audi 2010 invoice pricing guide? I have a copy below, but w/out the pricing info... http://www.ecodetuning.com/gallery/B8TSIAPR/reduced/OG2010AudiExclusive.pdf i checked edmunds for the 2010 a3 and the msrp pricing listed is not the same as it's listed at audiusa.com <-- this is what makes it's frustrating. so how does edmunds get the invoice/msrp pricing info?
According to this article in Automotive Magazine, it appears that Audi is green lighting the A3 2.0 TDI for 2010. Looks like a manual only transmission to begin. Hooray. http://www.automobilemag.com/green/news/0901_2010_audi_a3_tdi/index.html
I've been pleasantly surprised by the A3 coming from a MINI Cooper S. This car is just plain fun, and now the question that keeps re-running in my head is why so many people lately are so fixated on MINIs in general when for many, the A3 is probably a better choice. Around where I live, I rarely see any A3s on the road but I'm seeing MINIs everywhere I go. ... Read More
There's only one thing I don't want Audi to do... ...stoop low enough to start producing niche cars (CLS, R-Class, X7 rumor, etc). Otherwise, the new models from 2007-2010: Q7, RS4, S6, S8, R8 sports car, A4, A6 refresh, S4, A5, Q5, A3 Really looks like they're ready to kick some BMW butt!
