I've owned 10 Saturn Vues since 2004!
Crazy? Nope just love em.
Facts;
No longer made by GM at Spring Hill, Tn.
The car is a car. Its not a truck.
It has some typical weaknesses, and typical replacements to consider.
Here's what usually goes out, needs replaced on these Vues;
All Wheel Bearings, Alternators, no warning signs when they do, most before 100k.
If you live in … Michigan, like I did. The roads are the worst in the world, over salted, with huge pot holes, etc.
You can expect rusted suspensions, brake lines, front struts, rear shocks to replace.
I think the the guy who worked on the passenger side of the vehicle
in Spring Hill, was the one on break and probably got fired, in my 2006 and 2007s
had the same problems.
The heated seats that went out, funky airbag sensors,
and were all bad in 2-3 of my Vues.
I had 2.2 Ecotech engine in 3 ..
Theres no dipstick for the transmission, so no way to check fluid levels,
good engine overall But not checking your fluid, that a "transfusion"
and not a good idea.
I later switched to the Honda J series 3.5 V6 for my last 3 Vues.
Best engine in the whole bunch.
3.0 ltr. and Hybrid are the engines to avoid!
I'm buying my last one this week, used but well cared for.
..wish me luck, It's a Redline with the 3.5 V6.
Good luck to all the Saturn people,
and those who still support the American car builders.
