2005 Mercury Sable
We're still driving a red 2005 Sable we bought in 2016 with 85,000 miles on it. Also bought a warranty. The transmission went out almost immediately. Between the car, warranty and rebuilt transmission it was about 5.5 thousand total. It has the most comfortable seats since our '99 Continental. It runs like a top, uses almost no oil between changes, gets almost 26 average mpg on good gas. … We've put 50,000 miles on it and even though we're looking for a newer primary vehicle, have no plans to get rid of it. What a gem. Only sad we can't get a newer Sable.
