Good American Car

1995 Mercury Mystique
I bought this car used, it was 18
months old w/ 30k miles back in 1997. I
like it from day one for all the
features (it is fully loaded except
moonroof), smooth ride, 5-speed manual
etc. I think the car put me through a
bit more than usual maintenance: I had
to change links on front wheels 3 times
so far (they seem to go bad about once
a year but don't change them …
immediatelly - this is clearly bad
design, or cheaply made part), and the
back wheels swaybar once. I also had
the airflow sensor dead once so the car
completely stopped (it was easy to
change though). Also, I have a premium
radio which about a year ago blew the
front and rear speakers.
