Best plug-in I have ever owned!

I have previously owned 5 plug-in cars from different manufacturers, starting with the Prius plug-in in 2011. I loved the Prius for its reliability but it didn’t have enough space. The RAV4 solved my problem. It is roomy but also super maneuverable. It drives like a sports car, parks like a compact car, and fits enough groceries as a minivan. The only downside is it doesn’t fit 9 people, but that’s not why I bought it.

Overall great car - maneuvers easily, has power, good mileage, Toyota dependability. Was exactly what I was looking for in a plug in hybrid. However as a 5’ tall woman I could not find a comfortable driving position. I have driven bigger vehicles with ease. So sadly this car was not for me

I like the plugin ev mode. I use it practically everyday I go to work. I do try to run hybrid mode once a week for 20-30mins to keep the ice maintained. I wish the cup holders were better. The cup holders are nice and deep but they dont do well to accommodate 40oz Stanley cups. I can get one in but the handle has to go into the adjoining cup holder. I currently have a cup holders extender that is offset to the side to not interfere with the adjacent holder. The controls for air, drive modes, seat vent/heat are good. In my driver side seating position, the rear seating leg/foot room is good. I have midnight blue. Its a good looking color but your finger prints and grime show very easily. I have the XSE Premium package. I love the panoramic sunroof. I have roof bars. They make wind noise but they don't bother me. The rav4 does have good acceleration. I use it for work or going camping when on my own. I'll haul the family for short trips. I use my 2025 sienna for long trips. On my own I drove from Virginia to Albany New your in the rav 4. Super comfortable. I look forward to getting the new 2026 rav 4 in the same features inaddition the new geatures

Beyond our highest Expectations!

Given that our typical day is only 25-30 miles, we almost never run out of battery power. We do switch into hybrid mode when we are getting on the freeway. We have read lots of reviews that mention that the car is a bit loud when the gas engine is running, but our previous gas powered cars (2 Altimas & 2 Tacomas) were significantly noisier. Only needing a level 1 charger (overnight) meant we had no additional requirements. Drove it home and plugged it into the charger…Done. If there might be a complaint, the interior does not feel luxury, but everything is logically laid out and made the car easy to use.
