2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid SX-Prestige 4dr SUV AWD (1.6L 4cyl Turbo gas/electric hybrid 6A)
I Had been Shopping for a Hybrid for a few Month. It's not the best time to buy in this Economy but, I needed a New Car. I Tested Kia against Hyundai, Honda and Toyota. The Vehicle I ended up buying was the Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige in Dawning Red with Black Interior.
Pros:
Offers mostly everything you could want and some you would not think of.
The Drive is Smooth and … comfortable
Seats Cradle you just fine and have the right amount of Support
The Tech and safety features are top notch
Audio (Harmon Kardon) is decent, only misses some low end thump. It's fine but, you are not going to be wow'd by the Sub Performance.
The Hybrid Drivetrain is simply Amazing. You can't feel a switch between Motor/Engine. It's seamless just the way it should be.
Cons:
Well, not really cons... Just feels like a missed opportunity.
No Auto-Fold Side view Mirrors
No Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror
No Sunglasses Holder.
Over-all; I was truly very impressed by this Car and I was very lucky to Find the one I purchased. Not sure why but, The SX Models in NY are hard to find. I'll add that the Dual use Climate/Radio is NOT that hard!!! You get used to it pretty quickly and IF you use one set of functions more often than the other, you can Long press on the Specific key to set that mode as the default. Not sure why people complain about the Dual use.
