edmunds TESTED
The 2025 Infiniti QX60 looks sharp and has a nice-looking interior. It's also priced lower than many three-row rivals. However, a lackluster driving experience and disappointing comfort keep the QX60 from being a fully competitive three-row luxury SUV.
Pros
- Pro:Generous passenger space
- Pro:Cabin is quiet and features high-quality materials
- Pro:Comes with lots of features for the price
Cons
- Con:Ride quality can sometimes be too stiff or overly soft
- Con:Front seats aren't particularly comfortable for a luxury SUV

2025 INFINITI QX60 Review
Overview
Infiniti lavished attention on its three-row midsize luxury SUV this year, and the 2025 QX60 sports some noteworthy changes. Headlining them is a new engine, Infiniti's so-called VC-Turbo four-cylinder. The VC stands for "variable compression," and it delivers 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque through a nine-speed automatic to either the front or all four wheels. Compared to last year's V6, that's 16 lb-ft more torque but 27 fewer horses. Testing will tell if it makes a notable difference behind the wheel, but EPA-estimated fuel economy improves across the board by 1 or 2 mpg. Infiniti has also added a new 17-speaker Bose audio system to the Luxe trim, along with an available new Black Edition option package that includes gloss black exterior trim, welcome lights and a black headliner. Overall, the QX60 remains a stylish and nicely appointed way for up to seven people to get around town.
Edmunds spotlight: VC-Turbo engine
The VC-Turbo engine is an interesting and high-tech solution to delivering a lot of power and torque in a small package. We've driven several vehicles from Infiniti and Nissan powered by the engine, with mixed results. The engine puts out plenty of power, but the continuously variable transmission the engine is usually paired with lags when you step on the throttle. Once we get an updated QX60 in for testing, we'll be able to tell you if this engine is better suited to the QX60's traditional automatic.
Competitors to consider
If you're looking at the QX60, you have some others worth considering. The Acura MDX adds a more satisfying driving experience while meeting or beating the Infiniti's features and luxury feel, all at a similar price. For a bit more money, the Volvo XC90 also has a better driving experience and comes with available hybridized powertrains to pick from if you'd like to stretch your fuel dollar.
Which QX60 does Edmunds recommend?
Infiniti's changes to the QX60 for 2025 only solidify our recommendation for the Luxe trim level. Move up to Luxe and you get ventilated front seats, navigation, a digital instrument panel, and Infiniti's ProPilot Assist semi-automated driving system. The optional Bose audio system from last year is also standard now, plus there's the new Black Edition.

2023 INFINITI QX60 SENSORY 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 9A)
I bought a new QX60 in august of 2022. It has been nothing but a nightmare since the very beginning. When I first bought it, it began malfunctioning in numerous ways and I brought it in repeatedly with dozens of videos of proof of the car malfunctioning. Since they “couldn’t duplicate” the issue they refused to do anything about it other than check that the software is up to date. I even … brought it in clearly malfunctioning at one point, but my service advisor conveniently forgot about that. Now, over a year later, it has been in the shop countless times for a total of months at this point. They have replaced, according to my repair records, at least 17000$ worth of things that were covered under warranty but my car is now malfunctioning worse than ever.
They FINALLY agreed to repurchase it, after months and months of gaslighting. Even blaming a CHARGING CABLE plugged into the back seat of my car for all of my problems at one point. The problem is, they are inaccurately applying my states lemon law and not properly acknowledging when my car qualified as a lemon. They are trying to not acknowledge or reimburse me for all of the time my car has had problems, stating that all of the times I brought it in from the beginning don’t count because they didn’t actually do a repair, even though I was BEGGING them to fix it. Infiniti is claiming my car just now qualifies as a lemon, ignoring my repeated attempts from the beginning to try to get my car fixed. My dealership even falsified my service records for one of my visits, masking a repair attempt that would have qualified it as a lemon sooner.
Infiniti is claiming that they don’t have to reimburse me for nearly as much as if they properly followed the laws set forth by my state. They are trying to cheat me out of as much as 14,000$.
Be very weary of this company. Save yourself the headache and avoid these cars at all cost, especially the QX60.
QX60 leather stretches and wrinkles

2023 INFINITI QX60 PURE 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 9A)
My QX60 2023 also has a poor quality leather. It stretches and wrinkles remarkably after just 3,000 miles. My dealership replaced it with a new leather but they could not make it flat. The new leather still has big waves and wrinkles on the surface. They refused to repair it further. What should I do?
Rattled at my QX60

2023 INFINITI QX60 SENSORY 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 9A)
I thought buying a luxury vehicle meant a quiet smooth ride. The headliner/sunroof has a rattle like a tin can right above the driver's head. Infiniti Service Dept has looked at it several times and kept the vehicle for 2 weeks. The rattle is still present and the fix continues to elude Infiniti Service Techs. If I apply slight pressure with my hand to the headliner the rattle stops. … We also just received a recall notice about the seats breaking at the weld in the event of a collision.
Liked the car for the first 2000 miles BUT

2023 INFINITI QX60 AUTOGRAPH 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 9A)
We liked all the amenities and styling the new qx 60 offers but it came to an abrupt halt. The front heated seat do not get hot; Luke warm at best. The dealer looked at it and there is no fix at this time.Secondly the wireless charger does not operate properly. It was reported to dealer (with video proof) and was told we can not duplicate the problem. Third the TPMS does not work as any … other vehicle on the market. I had a FLAT tire and the TPMS lamp didn’t illuminate (with video proof again); told by dealer you have to drive at 25MPH for it to register. Fourth the radio screen went black. The dealer updated firmware and so far so good on that problem. #INFINITI -do not buy!!! Service after sale is a complete joke.
We have a limited number of reviews for the 2025 INFINITI QX60, so we've included reviews for other years of the QX60 since its last redesign.
