Salesman valued the sale over the distress of a combat veteran's needs
Written by Fluffapode on 06/19/2024

I was recently in an accident and had my vehicle damaged. I chose Tyrell's collision department based on previous experience. Their collision department is courteous, quick, polite...above par in customer relation and skill at repairs. However, my vehicle was totaled out. I decided to give Tyrell a try and selected a vehicle that suited my needs. Partway through the buying process, my wife was having a diabetic reaction and needed immediate aid. I, a combat veteran, was having a combat related PTSD reaction. We both HAD to leave immediately to address out respective situations. Upon explaining to the salesman that I had 30 minutes or less to take care of our medical and PTSD symptoms, he tried to push the sale and say he wanted to wrap things up today, and it would take only 20-30 minutes. He didn't listen to our needs, placing the sale above our well-being. I reiterated the gravity of the situation, and he, again, stated he'd prefer to wrap up the sale now. We left. My wife was able to stabilize her diabetic reaction with appropriate medicine. That cost myself 4 hours of unneeded mental agony as I endured 4 hours of combat flashbacks. During this time, the salesman called, initially enquiring our health. Then offered to bring the documents and the vehicle to my house, where I'd be more comfortable. Again, stating that he'd prefer to wrap up the sale today. I gave a polite lie to defer the conversation to a time I was not being revisited by the memories of horrors of war. if I could rate them negavite stars, I would. The saleman placed the sale of the vehicle and money over the BLATANTLY stated medical and psychological needs of the customer. The salesman BLATANTLY disrespected a combat veteran.
