Oil Change

I came in for a 60,000 mile check up, oil change and to have my window washer motor looked at. They called me about 30 minutes later and said my car was done. I asked about the 60,000 mile check up and I was told it would take half a day to do it. Why didn't the person who set up my appointment inform me of this when I scheduled? I took time off from work to have my oil change done and now I will have to take time off again. I am not happy about that.
