Bought a used car on Friday, Sep 1, 2023 that requires an electric charging cable. It was missing from the car. Manager said he'd look around and see if they had one. Then I sat down with the salesman to discuss the price and was told they don't haggle, etc. I pointed out that my loan approval was for a few hundred less than the total after taxes, so I needed them to work with me. I simply didn't have the extra money at this point. They wouldn't budge, so my son and I walked out. While i was still in my car trying to call my husband, the salesman came to find me and said they could come down a little bit., but not the full amount I needed. I figured out a way to make it work. A little while later, the salesman approached me and said that as a gift, they were going to order 4 new tires. The process was talking a while (I'm leaving out irrelevant stuff), so I was thinking that overall, this is going well. I sent my son home with my car, and was waiting for the one there to be ready. After 5.5 hours total, I was tired and hungry and finally drove home. The next morning we had to return so that my husband could sign his part of the paperwork. At that point it was made clear that they would provide either the charging cable, OR the tires! I was under the impression that both were happening. He tried to make it seem as if I was the one trying to be unreasonable. Iasked them to order the charging cable, as it would be cheaper for them to do so, then for me. Nope. After another 30 minutes of going back and forth, they found another used car on the lot that had one. In the end, I got what I had expected, but it took way too long and was exhausting, arguing my point. I did ask if they could send the tires to the Woodbridge location, which is only 10 mins from me, but they refused. So I'll have to drive another 90 minutes later in the week to get them mounted when they come in. How easy would it have been to send the tires to the Woodbridge location? Overall, not the worst transaction, but has given me a poor opinion of their commitment to helping their customers. Oh, and if you buy a plug in Honda from there anytime soon, the charging cable is gone... sorry....
