Dealership Sales Review
I purchased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Sterling Edition, 5 days later the car did not turn on. I contact one of the sales guy and told me to contact an 1800 number. I also requested to speak with a manager so they can be aware of the situation and also asked as to why something like this happen on the fifth day so they connected me with Dane Dobson. I made him aware of the situation and told him what this problem was causing me and told me he was going to take care of it and it was very unusual for these cars to have issues. I also requested a temporary vehicle so my wife can pick up my children from school and get to work that she started a week ago, also made him aware that we were going out of town the next day in the car to visit some family in San Francisco and to please make this a priority on this new 2018 vehicle that should of not be causing any issues and he told me that he was going to take care of it and he was going to talk to his manager Randy Aldridge for a temporary vehicle for me due to the inconvenience. My wife call the 1800 number and the car was towed to the dealership at 12pm. This was at 930 in the morning when I spoke with Dane, my wife had to walk my kids to school due to the situation in this cold weather which my little 2 year old boy suffers from asthma and was sick with chronic cough and this made it worse. My kids got out of school that Friday at 140 and since I did not hear back from Dane I requested to leave early from work to pick up my kids and drop off my wife that was late on that day on her second week of work. I waited for Dane until 230PM and decided to contact him for the status of the $50,000 car that only had 5 days and told me that he was on his way to the service department to make sure they will take care of it and he had already talked to his manager to get me a temporary vehicle and he was going to call me back right away. I went to pick up my wife at work at 530 PM and since I did not hear nothing from Dane Dobson, I decided to personally go to the dealership to find out exactly the status of the car and the temporary car at the same time to remind him that we were going out of town the next morning. I got there and Dame told me he called me several times as well as service department contacted my wife phone number and left her a message. I was surprised because I never got any missed calls or voice messages and never had any issues with service on my phone. I contacted my wife and asked her if she had any missed calls or voice message and she also told me no. As a matter of fact I never lost sight of my phone waiting for a call from Dane to let me know the status. Very frustrated I told Dane the inconvenience that this was causing me as well as we wanted a different car with the same features to do this vehicles having only five days and already having issues, and he paid no attention to me and try to walk away to go back to his GM to see what could be done. I was there for another hour and nothing was done, not even the temporary vehicle. Dane after going back and forward talking to his GM and me he never came out of his GM'S office. I happened to run into the Business Manager and he remembered me because I signed the loan with him and told him my situation about the vehicle all the inconvenience that the car has caused me and made him aware that I was leaving out of town the next day and to please help me out and he assure me that service was going to take care of it early in the morning if not to give him a call and he was going to take care of it. I contact the service Department early morning and spoke with a Richard whom was assigned my car and he told me that It was not taking care of yesterday because they did not know who the car belong too and nobody knew about it and they were going to take care of it but it was going to take some time, apparently that guy did not know everything I have been through and once I told him my situation and what I was told by Ghassam he did not seem to care and told me that " I think that everyone is trying to help me out the best they can". Come to conclusion that Sales Manager Dane Dobson was lying to me this whole time because he never called me and he never went to the service department to make them aware that my vehicle was in for service. Ghassam also was aware of my communication with Dane and told me that if nothing was taking care of to call him at 9am, I left him 2 voice messages and no response. Consequences were due to this inconvenient were that my wife was late on her new job, left work early, baby got sick and ended up not going to San Francisco to visit family and since they did not go through all of this they did not do anything about it not even a temporary vehicle. I also have a 2016 Passat that has similar features like sensors and the push bottom started and I have never had any issues with it and it have been almost 2 years. I understand situation like this happen but really did not expect this on a brand new vehicle that we used less than 100 miles on it to have issues in 5 days of purchased. I really did not expect how this situation was handle very unprofessional and as a retired disable Veteran I am very disgusted of this situation starting from Dane (no customer service skills or just racist) through their GM, I requested to speak with him but this was refuse, why would you put me in a situation like this, to speak with a useless middle guy that basically lied to me in my face. I never have experience this type of customer service before, it seem that everything I requested got denied but when I was there to purchased the vehicle they were going above and beyond to make the purchase happen, is just unreasonable. I am a very reasonable person and know that a dealership like this should not take the blame for a few bad employees however this will be my first and last time dealing with this dealership an I will assure that my personal experience get shared with family and friends so they will not experience something like this.
